Being a Private University with recognition Under Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956 the KAV is to put emphasis on the undermentioned:
- Promoting and Coordinating University Education as per the guideline of the UGC and all other Management Units.
- Determining and Maintaining Standards as per the guidelines of the UGC and all other Management Units.
- Framing Regulations as per the guideline of the UGC, Private University Act of the Government of Assam and all other Management Units and implement all those in proper way.
- Monitoring the utilization of the Grants for proper uplift of the infrastructure of the University.
- Serving as a Link with all agencies of Management for disciplined functioning of the University affairs.
- Advising the Mechanisms of management and administration for the overall transformation of the university.
- Ensuring Quality and Excellence in all parameters.
- Mobilizing Funding and Support for physical and academic interest of the university.
- Looking after the issue of Capacity Building of the stakeholders of the university.
- Looking after the issues of the constituent institutions for proper growth and good health of the university.
Considering all the above mentioned specifications all Committees of KAV are formed as per the standing guidelines for the overall uplift of Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya, Nasatra, Barpeta, Assam, Pin: 781307.

As per the UGC guidelines, the ethics committee should be multidisciplinary and multisectoral, comprising a mix of medical/non-medical, scientific/non-scientific, and lay persons, with a minimum of 5 members for a quorum, and ideally between 7-15 members.
The number of members in an Ethics Committee should preferably be between 7 and 15 and a minimum of five members should be present to meet the quorum requirements. The Ethics Committee should have a balance between medical and non-medical members/ technical and non-technical members, depending upon the needs of the institution.
The Ethics Committee is to comprise of a Chairperson, Member Secretary, and 7-13 active members who represent an appropriate balance of professional, ethical, legal, cultural, educational, and community interests of KAV.
The members of the Ethics Committee is formed for looking after all the Ethical Issues of the stakeholders of the University. The 15-member Committee’s function is to examine every complaint relating to unethical conduct of the stakeholders.
The number of persons in an ethics committee should be kept fairly small (8 - 12 members). It is generally accepted that a minimum of five persons is required to form the quorum without which a decision regarding the research should not be taken.
The basic structure of an effective Ethics Committee comprises of a Chairperson and a Secretary, and 8 to 20 other members who carry out tasks such as:

- Giving feedback on assessments.
