The “Cyber Jagrit Bharat” Awareness Programme was organized by the NEP Implementation Committee in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya. The primary objective of the programme was to spread awareness about cyber security and ensure students’ safety in the digital space.

The programme began with a welcome address by Prof. Mrinal Kumar Bora, Academic Registrar of the University, who focuses on the importance of cyber awareness in the present era of digital advancement. He emphasized the need for responsible and secure online behaviour among students and faculty members.

The session was led by Dr. Naba Pallab Newar, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy, who coordinated and guided the proceedings of the programme. His insightful remarks encouraged participants to remain vigilant and adopt safe online practices to protect personal information.

The theme lecture was delivered by Dr. Sipankar Das, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Education. In his presentation, Dr. Das elaborated on various aspects of cyber security, including cyber threats, digital ethics, responsible social media usage and the legal measures available under Indian cyber laws. He also stressed the importance of digital literacy as a key component of student safety in the modern educational environment.

The programme witnessed active participation from teachers, officials and students, who engaged in an interactive discussion on the challenges of cybercrime and preventive measures. The event successfully raised awareness among the university community about the significance of maintaining a secure digital identity and promoting a culture of cyber responsibility.
